NOTE 10 — CONTRACTUAL COMMITMENTS The Company has entered into project work orders for each of its clinical trials with clinical research organizations (each being a “CRO”) and related laboratory vendors. Under the terms of these agreements, the Company is required to pay certain upfront fees for direct services costs. Based on the particular agreement some of the fees may be for services yet to be rendered and are reflected as a current prepaid asset and have an unamortized balance of approximately $0.1 million at March 31, 2022. In connection with the Company’s clinical trials, it has entered into separate project work orders for each trial with its CRO. The Company has entered into agreements with CROs and other external service providers for services, primarily in connection with the clinical trials and development of the Company’s drug or biologic candidates. The Company was contractually obligated for up to approximately $40.3 million of future services under these agreements at March 31, 2022, for which amounts have not been accrued as services have not been performed. The Company’s actual contractual obligations will vary depending upon several factors, including the progress and results of the underlying services. The Company has entered into estimated purchase obligations which in total range from $12.1 million to $12.6 million and include signed orders for capital equipment. |
